Position: Laborer
Reports to: Foreman
Job Description:

The Laborer will be assisting foreman and other skilled craft workers, in performing their assigned duties under close supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area
- Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies
- Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand, and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake
- Performing a variety of routine non-machine tasks as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe
- Performing a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A flexible schedule is a plus
Requirements:
- Ability to stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials for long periods of time
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Knowledge of handheld and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws and edging tools
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation
