The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality, and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to work as a Program Coordinator to manage our Save Our Sons Lansdowne Up, East St. Louis, IL outreach office.
Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Program Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to achieve contractual goals leading to placement opportunities for clients. Program planning and evaluation, report writing, client documentation, coordination, and monitoring of service delivery with partnering agencies.
Major responsibilities include:
- Assist with planning and coordination of the program and activities
- Monitor implementation of program policies, systems, and practices
- Work to keep the program on schedule, within the stated budget, and functioning smoothly
- Support program growth and development as necessary
- Coordinate program communications with staff
- Manage staff work assignments, workloads, and work schedules to ensure the program is on track to reach goals and deliverables.
- Work with community outreach staff for location recruitment
- Oversee the program budget, including tracking billing, payments, and other financial transactions
- Coordinate interactions/relationships between staff, clients, administrators, and all other program stakeholders
- Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events
- Oversee the use of technology for program operations
- Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations, and proposals
- Facilitate positive relations between the program team, the public and other departments within the organization, and all other involved parties.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related subject
- 3 years of experience in an administrative function with direct supervisory responsibilities is preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and understand key metrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
