Accounting and HR Assistant
Reports to: Senior Accountant
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 1st shift
- Preferably 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Position Summary: Provide administrative support to the Human Resources and Accounting departments while greeting and maintaining front desk duties.
Essential Functions:
- Updating employee database while maintaining accurate files including personal information, employment documents, benefit records, and performance reviews
- Tracking, monitoring, and recording employee attendance and verifying with production records
- Providing recruitment support for screening and onboarding processes
- Monitor and clear assigned incoming email accounts and save/file accounting documents
- Process vendor invoices accurately; obtain necessary approvals
- Reconcile and enter corporate credit card transactions
- Complete weekly freight analysis reporting
- Perform detailed AP research; vendor statement/aged invoice resolution
- Monitor PO received not invoice report for timely AP closure
- Learn and apply state sales tax law to properly remit tax on all purchases
- Assist in answering employee questions regarding policies such as benefits and vacations
- Phone queue and front desk responsibilities
- Additional tasks as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook) applications is required
- 1-2 years of accounting preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting and employment laws preferred
- ERP experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
