The Director of Development will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Co-Directors and Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals and strategies and will manage a team of fundraising volunteers.
This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Co-Directors. The position is designated essential to Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope’s mission. After an on-boarding period, this position can be up to 80% remote effort.
Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to making a positive impact on our community by providing essential services and support to those in need. We rely heavily on fundraising to sustain our programs and services, and we are seeking a Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals.
- Identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors.
- Plan and execute special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization.
- Develop, manage, and lead a team of fundraising volunteers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Collaborate with company communications efforts to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Co-Directors to develop fundraising strategies and goals.
- Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Evaluate the effect of internal and external challenges to Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope’s fundraising and recommend short and long-term plans that support the organization’s values, mission, and strategic plan.
- Prepare regular fundraising analysis and reports for the Co-Directors and Board of Directors.
- Participate with the Co-Directors, Board of Directors and staff in strategic conversations and budget planning.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned by the Co-Directors.
