Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and ensure accurate coding to appropriate accounts
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
- Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a related finance role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of NIZ (Neighborhood Improvement Zone) in Allentown, PA is a plus
