Now we are hiring for an AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM COORDINATOR position.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a talented Program Coordinator to oversee the successful implementation, development, and operation of our DYCD SONYC After School Program. As a Program Coordinator, you will manage a team of 4-10 employees, ensure staff are properly trained and monitored, and create a fun, safe, and educational environment for youth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day program operations, including staff supervision, contract compliance, and meeting program outcomes
- Ensure program recruitment goals are met and develop relationships with schools and community organizations
- Supervise and train staff, including developing corrective action plans as needed
- Prepare monthly reports and evaluate program quality, initiating continuous quality improvement
- Develop and maintain knowledge of DYCD OST proposal and SONYC initiative
- Collaborate with the Educational Specialist to develop curriculum aligned with NYS Core Curriculum Standards
- Participate in bi-weekly administrative meetings and staff trainings
- Enforce program rules, and providing counseling to hard-to-reach students, and remaining in compliance with Urban
Strategies, Inc. and DYCD rules, protocols, and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum BA Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Physical Education, or comparable field
- of 5 staff
- Experience working with youth, program development, and monitoring/assessing/tracking/operating an after-school or youth
program
- Familiarity with NYC or NYS youth program tracking systems
- State certification and compliance with all SACC requirements (must be acquired before start date)
