Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Crew Lead / Tree Climber to join our team at Urban Tree and Landscape. As a Crew Lead / Tree Climber, you will be responsible for overseeing & performing tree pruning, removals, and other arboricultural tasks. Safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform tree climbing and aerial lift work to prune and remove trees safely.

· Use chainsaws, hand saws, and other tools to perform tree care tasks.

· Assess trees for potential hazards and determine the best approach for work.

· Maintain equipment and tools to be in good working condition.

· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

· Communicate effectively with team members, clients and managers.

· Complete required paperwork and reports accurately.

· Work and coordinate with other team members and crews to maximize and ensure daily efficiency.

· Identify and provide key training opportunities to other team members.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a Tree Climber (min. 2 years)

· Knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and tree care techniques.

· Proficient in using climbing gear, chainsaws, Aerial lifts, and other tree care equipment.

· Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.

· Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

· Excellent physical condition and stamina.

· Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL with air brake endorsement preferred).

Certification from a recognized arboricultural organization (ISA Certified Arborist, CTSP or similar) is a plus.
