Urban Ventures seeks a passionate individual to join our Summer Ventures program from May 26th, 2025 – August 15th, 2025! Responsibilities:
- Serve as the point of first contact for families interested in enrolling in the Hub Club program
- Staff the program space during drop-off and pick-up times, managing the flow of parents and children into and out of the UV program spaces
- Answer the phone, respond to parent questions, and provide the highest level of customer service to enrolled families
- Own data entry processes for program
- Advocate for families and their needs to the Director of Summer Ventures and related organizations.
- Provide administrative support to the Program Director.
- Fill in for absent instructors
- Participate in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, supervisory sessions, and accept responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships as requested
- · Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Spanish Speaking required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Computer literacy; previous experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce preferred
- Demonstrate a client and family focus, advocating for families and their needs
Education and Experience:
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
- Experience and passion for effectively working in a multi-ethnic, multi-racial urban community
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
Work Location
Urban Ventures Campus based at 2924 Fourth Ave South, Minneapolis
Work hours:
- 40 hours per week (May 26th, 2025 – August 15th, 2025)
- 8AM – 4:30PM Monday through Thursday, some occasional additional adjustments may apply to workflow
Travel:
Occasional travel to work functions
