At Urbn Leaf, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our cannabis facilities and personnel.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of prior experience working as a security officer, military police, law enforcement, or corrections officer. They must possess knowledge of laws and regulations relating to detention, arrest, and restraints. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a post-graduate degree from a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in law enforcement or adult corrections or a POST Basic Certificate being desirable.
In addition to their experience and education, the successful candidate must also hold a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California. They should be fluent in Spanish at a basic level, although bilingual candidates are highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people into the property.
- Verify government-issued identification or other credentials prior to allowing access/entry to ensure only compliant individuals enter the premises.
- Periodically patrol the premises to identify any irregularities.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to detect any abnormalities from a distance.
- Ability to move (traverse) on uneven terrain.
- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 lbs across various locations.
