What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Urgent Care Animal Hospital?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk area
- Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures and treatments
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Provide basic pet care instructions to clients, including medication administration and post-operative care
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of pet care, and veterinary terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and appointment scheduling
