Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients by managing various administrative tasks within a medical office setting. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and manage phone systems to assist patients with inquiries and appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Utilize software for managing patient accounts and records efficiently.
  • Assist in the management of office operations, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized patient files.
  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure seamless patient flow and address any issues that may arise during appointments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience in a medical office environment is required.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable using electronics and computer savvy.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

  • Rotating weekends

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Columbia, SC 29223 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Columbia, SC 29223: Relocate before starting work (Required)
