Job Summary
The Associate Director, Commercial Operations lead will play a critical role in supporting field commercial strategy through CRM management, data integration improvements and identify areas for operational efficiencies.
This person is a results-driven and process-focused strategic commercial operations candidate who will champion commercial process improvements, support segmentation and targeting efforts through data analysis and lead continuous improvement efforts. This person will also bring learning agility and subject matter expertise in Veeva CRM, workflow management, fleet management, Tableau, BI, and field support-systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a continuous-improvement mindset, creatively solve problems, and be able to identify new opportunities for operation improvement with a keen focus on execution at a fast-moving, mission-driven emerging biotech company.
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA) preferred.
- 7 years relevant experience in healthcare industry with secondary data (HCP prescribing, sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, patient-level data, etc.) knowledge is required.
- Candidate should display strong analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, business acumen, organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and creativity in problem-solving.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales / Marketing / Service Clouds, Veeva CRM, Tableau and BI a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office—Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SQL Syntax, Python, R
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in project management.
- Ability to interact effectively with other leaders and present at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally within the organization.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Plan, execution, and delivery of commercial operational projects, including creating playbooks to support CRM utilization, data stewardship and call planning activities across US region and territories.
- Own and drive end-to-end CRM functional capability roadmap including ideation with field leaders, enhancements, workflow development based on HCP journeys, project management, UX / UI testing, training, governance, implementation and optimization efforts.
- Act as a liaison and partner with our field teams to support fleet implementation and optimization efforts.
- Set up data tracking & monitoring to ensure compliance with new workflows, resolve pain points with data rollouts, and propose fast-follow solutions to continually enhance efficiency.
- Proactively analyze field performance and share operational metrics with field leaders.
- Assess, recommend and implement external datasets to support efforts in customer segmentation, targeting, patient analytics, and marketing operations.
- Leverage our internal data reporting resources to create reporting tools and visualization view for executive and functional leaders in commercial and medical.
- Manage testing and integration calendar and support vendor management for CRM, Hub, territory management, and dashboard enhancements.
