Urological Associates of Savannah, P.C., a privately owned and operated 13 provider urology specialty practice has an opening for a Full Time, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for its Savannah location. Requires graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. Must also be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), have current BCLS certification, have at least two years of experience performing Ultrasound procedures, and possess strong computer and communication skills. This is a benefitted position with paid holidays and paid time off. No nights or weekends. No on-call responsibility. Interested candidates should submit their resume for consideration.
General Summary of Duties:
This position involves participating in US guided biopsies in our ambulatory surgery center as well as a variety of Ultrasound imaging procedures in our Radiology Department. This individual is also responsible for patient safety protocols and functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. They are also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing various equipment, media and work areas in the Radiology department area and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
Education: High school graduate; BS degree preferred; Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist
Requirements: Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); Certified by the state of Georgia to practice and administer radiation; Current BLS certification
