**Job Description**
At UroPartners LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinical laboratory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory science and leadership skills to manage a team of laboratory technicians and other staff. The Laboratory Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring that all testing and analysis is performed according to established protocols, developing new procedures or techniques, and training staff on how to perform their jobs more effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and assigning employees to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Determining inventory levels to keep supplies stocked.
- Identifying informational needs to manage medical laboratory information systems.
- Planning and overseeing the laboratory's budget, including purchases of equipment and supplies.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the safety of laboratory personnel and the quality of lab results.
- Providing guidance and direction to individuals while ensuring everyone stays focused on meeting deadlines and completing projects on time.
**Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field is required. Five years of experience working in a clinical laboratory and a minimum of 3 years experience as a lab manager are also required.
