Description
Job Duties: · Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial models and related analysis for Company leadership, business units, and special projects. Utilize Microsoft Excel/Access and to provide ad hoc modeling and financial analysis, in addition to business intelligence tools such as Tableau and MS PowerBI to mine and analyze data. Analyze Company financial activity and performance by reviewing various financial reports and metrics to support business operations and help senior leadership manage the income statement, balance sheet, working capital and pricing. Assist Tax department with various filing processes. Contribute and manage cross-functional projects with team members such as operations, IT, sales, accounting, and pricing. Create timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and forecasts for the Company and senior leadership. Provide analysis and recommendations to senior leadership in order to make informed decisions to execute financial and operational strategies. Manage monthly variable compensation processes for sales agents. Support M&A activity and other strategic corporate development initiatives. Evaluate large data sets and create dynamic models allowing Executives to modify any variable and quickly recognize the material effect to all financial and quantitative aspects of a potential deal. Manage multiple workstreams for projects of varying complexity and effectively ensure timely completion of necessary deliverables including Safety Reporting & Analysis, Customer SLA, KPI, and Variance Disputes processes. Work directly with the senior leadership team including CFO, COO, and CEO on special projects to provide any and all support as requested and necessary. Provide ancillary support to accounting department in closing activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses. Work collaboratively in a work-hard, play-hard environment, to develop and implement processes and systems to make the business run more efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in the related field.
Required special/technical skills: 1) Tableau, 2) PowerBI, 3) Excel, 4) Access, 5) PowerPoint, 6) Transportation Management Systems, 7) Business Processes, 8) Financial Accounting, 9) Financial Analysis, 10) Operational Analysis, 11) Financial modeling, 12) Executive Presentations. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Special skills can be documented through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or professional experience.
Work Location: 41100 Plymouth Rd 4th Floor, Plymouth, MI 48170. Telecommuting is an option. Required to
travel to United Road office three times a week.
Salary: $72030.00 per year; 40 hours a week; Monday through Friday. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
