Position Summary:

We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Security Consultant to design, implement, and manage robust data security solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing security strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

This role involves close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that all solutions meet business and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Security Strategy:

  • Develop and implement tailored data security strategies aligned with client-specific needs and regulatory requirements.

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments within Microsoft Fabric environments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and threats.

• Security Architecture Design:

  • Design and implement secure data architectures utilizing encryption, access controls, data masking, and other mechanisms.

• Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure data security solutions comply with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

  • Develop and implement incident response plans for handling security breaches and incidents.

• Security Audits & Assessments:

  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively strengthen the organization s data security posture.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work alongside IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to data security.

• Training & Awareness:

  • Deliver training programs and create awareness among employees and stakeholders regarding data security best practices and protocols.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of security procedures, protocols, incident response activities, and assessments.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in data security and integrate new methodologies into the existing framework.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric security features.

• Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and frameworks.

• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.).

• Proven experience in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple environments (DEV, QA, PROD).

• Strong communication skills for engaging with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams.
