What is the day to day?
- Assist in managing day-to-day engineering operations and maintenance activities
- Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Help coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors for various building projects
- Contribute to energy management and sustainability initiatives
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery planning
- Support the training and development of engineering team members
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of all engineering activities
Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
- 5 years of experience in commercial building engineering or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
- Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management practices
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS software
- Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts (nights)
Preferred
- Relevant engineering or facilities management certifications
- OSHA safety certification
