Job Summary
The Technical Training Manager on-boards, qualifies and trains the engineering team on equipment, operation of equipment, local processes and procedures. The role is to ensure new engineers are properly qualified and existing employees are upskilled.
Responsibilities
Onboard all new employees for region.
Deliver qualification program to engineers/leads/chiefs.
Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of the operations teams and determine appropriate corrective actions to upgrade knowledge and skill gaps.
Deliver training program (TDP).
Ambassador to Critical Awareness Process.
Translate requirements into trainings; share with platform when applicable.
Coordinates and manages delivery of site drill program.
Build annual training program w/schedules.
Audit established programs, ensuring latest versions are documented.
Maintain records on all training activities.
Integrate client systems training into overall training program.
Regional HSE lead; 5% of workload.
Performs additional job duties as requested.
Requirements
Must have minimum 5 years’ experience with a strong data center/critical facility background, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switchgear
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of direct training experience, including demonstrated curriculum development and delivery.
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
Position may require up to 30% regional travel as required
