What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air Defense System Specialist position at US Army?
As a vital member of the US Army, you'll play a crucial role in defending the nation's air space and protecting ground forces. You'll supervise and perform maintenance on the Avenger, a sophisticated and highly mobile short range air defense system.
Requirements
- 10 weeks of Basic Training
- 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Score 98 or higher on the Electronics (EL) section of the ASVAB
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Meet tattoo guidelines
- Be between 17 and 34 years old
- No major law violations
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- No medical concerns
You'll have the opportunity to learn valuable skills such as electronic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs, diagrams and schematics. Additionally, you'll be able to obtain 40 nationally-recognized certifications.
