Job Overview :
We are in search of a highly driven and meticulous Freight Agent to become a key player on our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts, generating new leads, and delivering outstanding customer service in the transportation and logistics sector. This position promises both challenges and rewards, along with substantial opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
Uncapped Income : Commission starts at 40% and can go as high as 60%. This is not a salary or hourly paid job.

Responsibilities :
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their freight requirements are consistently met.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various lead generation channels.
Plan and coordinate logistics and transportation for shipments.
Utilize TMS for efficient data management and communication.
Provide precise quotes and negotiate rates with carriers.
Track shipment progress and proactively address any issues or delays.
Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve revenue goals.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Ensure all activities are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
Must have book of business (minimum of 1 year).
Demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or customer relationship management within the transportation or logistics industry.
Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to generate leads and establish strong client relationships.
Proficiency in data entry and use of relevant software systems.
High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
No degree required.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in sales management or leadership roles.
Familiarity with TMS and processes.
