Job Summary
USCD is a growing and dynamic family owned company, headquartered in Houston, Tx. For over 30 years we have been transporting chemicals and hazardous materials throughout eastern US & Canada. We are currently accepting resumes for an Interchange Clerk for our Savannah, GA operation.
The Interchange Clerk is responsible for providing customer service and assisting in the flow of equipment paperwork into and out of the depot. The position plays a role in yard operations, transportation operations, gate operations, and container freight station operation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Receives and hands out equipment a paperwork
- Assist drivers at the window as needed
- Enters, scans and track accurate information into DepotPro
- Assist in the management of Depot stock
- Respond to customer needs and expectations
- Interchange in-and-out tanks daily
- Create, schedule, and track all tank heating activities
- Systematically manage all reports needed by the customers by generating such reports promptly
- Assist with handling driver needs at the facility
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling all tank wash services
- Assist in coordinating available tanks with the yard staff
- Request customer reference number for work being performed
- Communicate and uphold all company policies and procedures
- Assist in responding to client issues and concerns
- Perform other tasks as necessary to support the terminal and company
- Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of transportation experience prefer
- Proven customer service ability
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once and multitask
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, decision-making, planning and organizational skills required
- Proficient in Word, Excel and the ability to optimize proprietary company software
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
