The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for managing the physical operations of the warehouse and office building. This role involves handling packages, performing custodial duties, setting up spaces for events, conducting minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Given the size and needs of our Federation, we are looking for a versatile individual who can comfortably handle a broad scope of responsibilities and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary coordinator for warehouse activities, including handling packages and deliveries to the warehouse/loading dock.
- Load and unload packages, manage warehouse inventory.
- Assist with mail sorting, distribution, and processing.
- Perform regular cleaning of common areas, including restrooms and break rooms.
- Ensure restrooms, break rooms, and common areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs in office areas.
- Coordinate with cleaning supplies vendors and monitor supplies levels.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs.
- Arrange and move furniture for meetings, events, and other functions.
- Set up and dismantle event spaces as required.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on building systems and equipment, including changing air filters, hanging photos, patching walls, and painting.
- Perform routine inspections of the building to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain and update the online facilities work order dashboard.
- Assist in coordinating facility contractors and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and address any safety concerns or defects.
- Ensure all general office and warehouse safety expectations are adhered to.
- Assist in safety-related activities and maintain a safe environment for all areas.

Education/Experience:

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to drive the company vehicle for mail pick up, delivery and to assist in transportation of staff and resources when necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. (Anything over 25 pounds requires a two-person lift)
