What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at US Heart & Vascular?
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Fort Worth Heart in Fort Worth, TX. area. This position will travel between three of our office locations (including Granbury, Mira Vista and Mistletoe Main).
Responsibilities:
- Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform venipuncture and other laboratory tests as required, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Handle multi-line phone systems and communicate effectively with patients, scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills in English and another language.
