Us Heart and Vascular is in need of a medical Front Office Specialist to join our Cariology Specialist of Acadian in Lafayette, LA
Responsibilities:
- Schedules patient appointments and checks patients in.
- Transcribes accurate patient demographic information into the required systems to ensure timely reimbursement of visits.
- Verifies medical insurance coverage, eligibility and patient demographic information.
- Informs patients of encounter co-pays, deductibles, and account balances and collects payment at the time of visit as applicable.
- Provides and facilitates the completion of necessary patient forms.
- Assists patients with presumptive applications for the SFDP.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six (6) months of experience in customer service or office support.
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
