Job Summary:
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machines to produce high-quality plastic products according to specifications. The operator ensures the efficient and safe operation of the extrusion line, performs quality checks, and troubleshoots any issues that arise during the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up and adjust extrusion machines according to production specifications.
- Operate extrusion machines to produce plastic products, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Monitor machine parameters and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the products.
- Document quality control checks and maintains accurate records.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on extrusion machines to ensure they operate efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Report major equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team for repair.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies and regulations, including those related to health and safety.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production logs and records.
- Complete shift reports detailing production output, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any concerns.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Provide suggestions for process improvements and implement approved changes.
Evening shift : 3pm-11pm with a $1.50 differential - 3 positions available
Night shift: 11pm-7am with a $1.00 differential - 1 position available
