Director of Finance

Position Overview:

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting and reporting. They will provide strategic financial leadership and support to senior management, ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, and drive efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to support the organization’s overall objectives and goals.
2. Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling.
3. Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including monthly/yearly financial statements.
4. Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
5. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, including tax reporting, audit requirements, and internal controls.
6. Provide financial leadership and support to senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
8. Create, lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and objectives.
9. Stay current on financial trends and best practices, and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; MBA a plus
2. 10 years of experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
6. Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
7. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
8. Proficiency in general financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
9. Must be a self-starter and self-driven.
10. Experience in Manufacturing ERP software and implementation.
11. Vision and ability to create and develop a financial team.
