Partnership Employment has partnered with a growing company in Overland, KS and we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk for a part-time and direct-hire job opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and payroll principles and practices, as well as experience with various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role will start out as part-time and then transition to full-time over the summer and you are able to work remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities
Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation.
Assist with the bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll within Paycom.
Apply financial concepts to analyze data and prepare reports for management review.
Update employee pay rate and address changes in system.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide support as needed.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements
Proven experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
Proficiency in accounting and payroll software such as Paycom.
Excellent math skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
