Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Staffing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the recruitment process, focusing on talent acquisition and relationship management. This position requires a proactive approach to sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires. The Staffing Specialist will collaborate with various departments to understand staffing needs and help build a strong workforce. This shift is Sunday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 12:00am.
Duties
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Conduct technical recruiting for specialized positions, ensuring candidates meet the required qualifications.
- Engage in cold calling potential candidates to generate interest in job openings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitate employee orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company culture.
- Prepare payroll spreadsheets.
- Must maintain and track all client specific reporting requirements.
- Assists in handling employee issues such as paycheck corrections, hours worked corrections, and other employee payroll concerns.
- Execute basic Human Resource functions such as releasing associates, write up associates when necessary, manage and track all employee disciplinary action, coach, and re-train associates for success.
- Distributes and monitors performance reviews at 30-60-90 days, and every six months thereafter.
- Handles employee relations counseling, and conduct exit interviews.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility verifications; periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Maintain accurate records related to employee personnel files and documentation.
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications, and conduct interviews using various tools and methods.
- Works directly with the HR Manager on communicating benefits information to eligible employees.
- Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in talent acquisition or recruiting, with a focus on relationship management.
- Familiarity with technical recruiting practices is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using ATS systems for tracking applicants and managing recruitment workflows.
- Experience with UltiPro or similar HR software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage candidates effectively.
- Ability to perform cold calling as part of the recruitment strategy.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring all candidate information is accurately recorded.
