Position Summary:
Job Title: Microbiology Tech I
Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Duration: 12 Months Contract - possible extension
Shift Schedule: Sun-Wed 10PM - 8:30 AM OR Wed-Sat 6 PM-4:30 AM
Tax Term: W2 Contract
Pay: $22/hr
Description:
Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
- Media making
- Daily water collecting and testing.
- Will make and record observations.
- Preform simple calculations.
- Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
- Other tasks as needed.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to multitask
- Aseptic technique
- Microbiology background
- Previous lab experience
Education: Associate degree with at least 2 years lab experience (experience can be college lab work). OR Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or food science straight from college. will consider candidates graduating soon.
