Job Description:
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring all work meets relevant codes and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Explain the responsibilities of an electrician.
- Identify, explain, and install various conduit and connectors.
- Thread conduit ends using power hand tools.
- Identify, explain, and use various hand tools.
- Trace out circuits in wiring using test meters.
- Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using non-energized equipment.
- Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Strip insulation from wire ends using wire stripping pliers.
- Identify, explain, and install various types of electrical fittings.
Level 1 Electrical Technicians must be able to proficiently perform these tasks under immediate supervision. Level 2 technicians require advanced knowledge and experience, while Level 3 and 4 technicians work independently and exercise independent judgment.
