What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Specialist (NAF/DCPDS) position at US US Army Civilian Human Resources Agency?
Duties
- Performs Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) processing functions within a centralized processing center.
- Researches and resolves complex, one-of-a-kind and unprecedented situations or sensitive nature of actions where errors could cause significant damage to the agency or employee.
- Reviews work of lower graded staff members for quality control and compliance. Authenticates and generates personnel actions.
- Coordinates processing of corrective actions. Ensures completion of corrections by processing team members and coordinates with functional specialists to craft solutions to problems and prevent future errors.
- Identifies trends detected during pre- and post-audit of personnel action processing and recommends or independently develops and conducts training to correct problems.
- Applies knowledge of the Business Objects application to extract data, verify database accuracy, and identify/resolve error conditions. Reviews official personnel folder transfer requests for accuracy and releases folders to requesting agency.

- This is a CHRA NAF Career Path II position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path II within twenty-four (24) months of placement into the position
Qualifications
2. Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated problems and issues.
3. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.
The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower pay band (NF-03).
Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess twelve (12) months of work experience in a Human Resources Office performing processing, records maintenance and/or payroll functions and have successfully completed training in Customer Service, Organizational Structure, and Time Management.
