Transportation Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

As a Transportation Logistics Manager at US0043 Sysco Montana, Inc., you will be responsible for supervising the activities associated with delivery. Your role will include managing and directing delivery staff, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and maintaining the safety and security of the delivery department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily work and safety of delivery associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures and providing safe and efficient customer service.
• E nsure delivery associate compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within established guidelines.
• Prepare work schedules, including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Oversight of company assets in support of the delivery department.
• Organize required repairs with relevant departments as necessary.
• Review delivery functions and productivity reporting.
• Suggest efficiency ideas and assist with implementing delivery changes.
• Interpret, train, and enforce Company policies, protocols, and procedures, including food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc.
• Communicate with sales management and marketing associates to resolve customer or delivery issues.
• Visit customer locations and meet with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulties.
• Promote associate relations through regular meetings and open communication channels.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• HazMat certification preferred.
• A valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards is an asset.
