We are seeking a Project Manager to support our dedicated expansion team in St. Louis Missouri. This position will be accountable for working within a multi-disciplined engineering team dedicated to expansion construction that ensures on-time delivery of: New manufacturing building and associated process equipment; Warehousing to support a growing manufacturing plant; A new innovation center to enable design & development activities that support a growing, dynamic and complex product line. Required Skills / Abilities:
The candidate must possess expert-level construction/EPC management skills and knowledge along with exceptional communication and influencing skills. The role requires significant interaction with internal groups such as project management, engineering, procurement, EPC firms and construction contractors ensuring effective coordination across all involved supporting project delivery commitments. The incumbent also interfaces extensively on engineering and technical matters.
Adopts and promotes the commitment to provide a safe workplace that strives for an incident and injury free environment where everyone goes home safe every day. Ensures construction safety programs, including Site-Specific Safety Planning throughout all construction phases.
Provides guidance to the project construction team for budgets and project plans during the proposal, design, and construction phase of the project.
Establishes and maintains relationships and acts as the primary contact and counsel to project management.
Knowledge of construction management best practices and a willingness to adapt and lean out existing practices.
Accountable for management of the construction team budget and financial reporting.
Leads and develops processes to ensure full, end-to-end coordination between all involved parties from planning, design, construction, and commissioning.
Oversight and direction to construction management and activities ensuring site safety program, cost, schedule, and quality are aligned to support project KPIs and objectives.
Ensures the project is well planned with rigorous front-end planning, including value engineering, constructability plans, and best practices. Manages project objectives and expectations regarding scope, budget, invoicing, schedules, and time frame.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required
20 years of Construction leadership experience with large projects will be considered in lieu of a formal degree
Demonstrated experience managing projects & scopes in excess of $80M
PMP or CCM certification is a PLUS
