Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for a Process Safety Advisor. This position is located in Magnolia, Arkansas and supports both our West and South Plant operations.
What You Will Do
Perform Process Hazards Analyses for all PSM-covered processes
Drive operational improvements in safety, including LOPA, critical instrumentation, interlock verification, and MOC training and review
Follow up on closure of findings from PHA's, incidents, etc.
Support capital projects with their PHA and LOPA needs, as well as participate in PSSRs for new projects and improvements
Participate in incident investigations and reviews, including validating release and impact amounts and Root Cause Analysis of significant incidents
Provide training for new engineers in both systems and methodology of technical safety systems
What You Bring
Required:
Engineering Degree (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) required
Experience participating in PHA's, preferably as a leader
At least 5 years in a chemical manufacturing plant environment in addition to a degree
Preferred:
Phast modeling, Facilex, MOC management systems, Sharepoint systems
Experience working in an OSHA PSM facility with flammable/toxic chemicals
Some supervisory (Team Lead, Supervisor, or Superintendent) preferred
Ability to work weekends, holidays, or shift schedule and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
Magnolia site employees should be aware of both the Albemarle Magnolia Site Quality Policy and the Albemarle Magnolia Site Quality Objectives plus understand how their role contributes to each. Employees are required to follow and support the requirements of our quality management system which is available on the ISO Sync site and can be accessed through Albert by all site workers.
