Through the utilization of all tools and resources maintain and grow current account base, as well as achieving substantial growth through the acquisition of new customers.Job Summary: Account Manager will assist customers in obtaining what they need to run their businesses effectively by ensuring that products are delivered on time and according to specifications. This position requires daily contact with all levels of management within our customer's organization as well as frequent interaction with multiple departments within Airgas. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys working independently while still being part of a team environment; has excellent communication skills (both written & verbal); can multi-task across several projects at once without losing focus or attention to detail; excels under pressure with tight deadlines; possesses strong organizational abilities including prioritizing tasks based upon importance/urgency; demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint; shows initiative by taking ownership of problems & solutions rather than simply pointing them out to others; demonstrates professionalism through appearance, attitude & demeanor when interacting with colleagues & customers alike.
Responsibilities:
· Provide timely responses to customer requests for information concerning product availability, pricing, delivery schedules, etc., utilizing resources available to ensure accurate information is provided.
· Process orders quickly and accurately in accordance with established procedures.
· Maintain open lines of communication with internal staff members regarding order status updates, customer concerns, etc.
· Develop and maintain relationships with assigned accounts.
· Learn, understand and apply accounting policies and procedures.
· Work closely with other departments within Airgas to resolve issues which may arise during the course of day-to-day business operations.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; College Degree or equivalent sale experience
· Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation preferred.
· Strong knowledge of computer software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and listening) required.
· Must have proven problem solving ability.
· Ability to work safely.
· Proven ability to take direction and work independently.
· Experience with SAP system preferred.
· Welding industry experience preferred.
