The Sheet Metal Assembler I is responsible for operating sheet metal shear, brake press, and deburring equipment to produce aerospace components.
This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Sheet Metal Department and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and overtime, including weekends, is routine.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Learn and setup machinery related to the area including sheet metal shears, deburring equipment, and brake press. Use basic measuring equipment (i.e., calipers, scale, thermometers, high gauge, etc.)
Fabricate complex parts to blueprint and work instruction specifications. Communicate ideas, problems, and concerns to management.
Complete all required paperwork including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, etc.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) and must be able to use a computer and computer applications to access software programs such as Accurpress, ADP Activities.
Fluent with shop math, basic blueprint reading, and ability to read and understand work instructions. Understand and use all measuring equipment (i.e. calipers, height gage, etc.)
Work overtime as assigned, including weekends.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to bend, lift, stand, sit, and twist for long periods of time. Lifting up to 30 lbs., frequency: daily.
Good eye and hand dexterity
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Working in an aerospace manufacturing facility.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
