Job Profile Summary :
The HR Benefits Coordinator plays a key role in managing and coordinating employee leave, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, handling workers' compensation claims and supporting employees through these processes. The position reports to the HR Benefits Manager and will serve as the point of contact for employees seeking leave or dealing with a workers' compensation claim. Support the benefits team and USA DeBusk’s HR community as needed.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Administer, track, and communicate various types of employee leaves, such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), disability leave, personal leave and coordinate with a workers' compensation coordinator and safety on relevant cases.
- Provide guidance on time off and return to work policies
- Track and communicate benefit coverage for those on any type of leave, their payments to their benefit program or our company’s compensation to their plan.
- Ensure all employee leaves are processed according to company policies and legal requirements.
- Consult with insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims.
- Provide training and information to managers and employees about leave policies, workers' compensation procedures, and their rights and responsibilities.
- Ensure that supervisors and employees understand how to report injuries and the processes for requesting leave.
- Ensure that employees are given appropriate accommodation to include the interactive process to facilitate a smooth transition back to work.
- Assist with benefit paperwork and questions : Help employees fill out forms and gather required documentation.
- Stay Updated : Attend training sessions or review policy updates related to benefits and workers' compensation.
