We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Hazardous Waste Management team for the summer of 2025. This internship offers hands-on experience in hazardous waste operations, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in classifying, packaging, and coordinating the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Support compliance efforts with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Participate in facility audits to ensure proper waste storage and handling.
- Help maintain accurate records of waste shipments, manifests, and disposal methods.
- Contribute to waste minimization and recycling initiatives.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to document and communicate project information effectively.
- Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Academic Standing: Minimum of 60 credit hours completed with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Certifications: 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with RCRA and DOT regulations.
- Experience or coursework related to hazardous waste management.
