Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at our North Brunswick, NJ office. This position is ideal for someone looking to contribute their IT expertise. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for all computer systems, networks, and related technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and internet connectivity.
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place and function properly.
- Assist with the setup and support of office IT infrastructure, including workstations, printers, and other office equipment.
- Provide end-user training and support on various software applications and tools.
- Monitor and manage IT inventory, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to ensure seamless technology integration and support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.31 - $24.48 per hour
