Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical-surgical nursing and pain management, with the ability to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and assist with gastric lavage as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and assess patient progress, recognizing and reporting changes in condition promptly
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention and treatment plans
Skills
- Proficiency in Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
- Experience in pain management and behavioral health nursing
- Ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center setting
- Knowledge of travel nursing practices is a plus
- Competency in clinic-based nursing procedures such as phlebotomizing
