Responsibilities :
Performs quality patient hookups and assures quality tracings in all channels recorded for all diagnostic procedures; uses international 10-20 system on all hookups including marking and measuring; performs equipment and patient calibrations properly to ensure tracing accuracy; assesses test being performed to add any necessary additional monitoring devices and / or montage changes to better enhance abnormalities; provides preliminary technical impressions of all procedures performed; provides detailed observation of clinical events by maintaining close visual, auditory, and mental attention; demonstrates proper use of equipment according to department protocol and ASET guidelines; maintains complete and accurate patient log, files, charting, worksheets, order entry and order completion; uses activation procedures as needed for each individual patient; performs cleaning, inventory control, stocking of equipment and supplies; obtains pertinent patient information from Clinical Information Systems utilizing a PC; requires minimal supervision to safely perform patient care / essential functions; participates in new personnel orientation; abides by and enforces hospital policies and adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards; communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, and health care team in person and via the telephone; responds to overhead pages; utilizes proper body mechanics when moving and positioning and transferring patients with or without assistance when needed for patient safety and when moving supplies and equipment necessary to perform essential functions; accesses and accurately maintains paper and electronic medical records; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime and call as required; related duties as required.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
