REPORTS TO: Compliance Manager
The purpose of this job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the position of COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATOR. JOB BRIEF: The COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATOR is to provide a variety of services to the USA Multifamily Management Compliance Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the responsibility for ensuring the company's compliance with the program requirements of the Section 42 Low Income Tax Credit Program and any additional financing layers.
- Issues or assists with issuing periodic reports to company management verifying compliance with all regulatory restrictions.
- Issues or assists with creating/completing/submitting multiple monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to City/County/State/Federal agencies as well as to a variety of Managing General Partners/Equity Investors/Bond Issuers and various other property stakeholders. Reporting also includes submission of annual certificates to CDLAC, CTCAC (POP, AOC and demographic reports) and NHD.
- Assists with tracking and updating utility allowance schedules on a bi-monthly basis.
- Assists with updating and distributing Property Data Sheets to projects when income limits, rents and/or utility allowances change.
- Enter certifications, utility allowances and market rent amounts into Yardi Voyager software as needed.
- Order office supplies for the Compliance Department.
- Support Compliance Department in the overall functions of the department in a manner consistent with USA Properties and USA Multifamily Management standards and expectations.
- Perform all other duties as determined and directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma is required
- College Degree is preferred
- Experience in property management is desired
- Must have basic computer knowledge
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation : $25 - 27 per hour
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to achieve competence level in the LIHTC and/or other program guidelines, ability to operate proficiently within the in-house computer software program, and Microsoft Office Programs such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Outlook. Fair Housing training, office and time management skills are necessary.
- Ability to operate a 10-key with speed and accuracy, fax, copier/scanner, telephone, personal computer, and typewriter.

DRIVING/TRAVELING REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional need (1% to 35% of the time) to utilize personal transportation to attend off-site meetings/seminars.
- Must have valid driver's license, registration and automobile insurance.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. The employee will typically be in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, or temperature changes. There will be frequent computer use at a workstation and frequent use of the telephone. The work usually requires working at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to effectively reconcile account balances, calculate figures and amounts, and apply basic math concepts.

Compliance Administrator must complete the following tests:
- Any required testing administered relative to office and compliance skills.
