We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist and Customer Service Representative to provide Centralized Phone Support to a variety of our offices around the state from our office located in Venice, FL. The individual will primarily focus on answering inbound calls, scheduling patients, coordinating with personnel in other offices in order to address patient questions, as well as handle a variety of other administrative tasks. The individual should be comfortable working in a fast paced, busy medical practice that provides concierge level services to patients. Responsibilities
- Answer high volume of phone calls, as well as respond to emails, text messages and faxes
- Schedule patient appointments and complete new patient intake procedures
- Maintain excel based tracking logs
- Distribute forms and paperwork and check them over to ensure that required fields are completed properly
- Collect co-pays, coinsurance and self-pay payments
- Complete pre-authorizations and referrals to physicians/imaging
- Attend weekly meetings focused on enhancing collaboration and performance optimization
- Manage and implement systems, programs, and processes
- Additional administrative duties
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Outgoing and vibrant personality providing concierge level service
- Quick learner that’s able to work independently
- Previous relevant experience
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite, including email
- Preferably, 1 years of experience working in a healthcare administrative setting
- Preferably, 1 years of experience in electronic health records software
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
