Education :
Minimum : Master of Science in Nursing Education or bachelor's degree and actively pursuing Master of Science in Nursing Education degree with completion within 4 years in the position
Preferred : Master of Science with a major in Nursing|Education or doctorate in education or nursing
License|Certifications :
License : Current unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse licensure
Minimum : Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
Preferred Certifications : Certified Nurse Educator
Experience :
Minimum : 3 years clinical nursing experience
Preferred : Prior teaching experience in nursing education med surg. , critical care, and|or psch, maternity. 5 years' experience as an RN. 2 years' experience in a leadership role with demonstrated effectiveness.
Other :
Minimum : Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-entity health system. Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets.
Preferred : Previous experience with college of nursing accreditation (ACEN, CCNE).
