Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a strategic leader to join our executive team as the vice president of global product. In this position, you will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s product strategy across nutritionals, foods, and skincare. This role leads product development, lifecycle management, and go-to-market strategy, ensuring all products align with brand and business objectives while driving market competitiveness and growth. The VP of Global Product owns innovation pipelines, portfolio optimization, and commercial execution, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact and innovative products that drive distributor engagement, and customer and revenue growth in global markets. You will work under the general supervision of the Chief Commercial Officer.
What You Will Do as USANA’s Vice President of Global Product
- Develop and execute the global product strategy for nutritionals, foods, and skincare, ensuring a robust pipeline of innovation, science-backed, and market-driven products
- Lead new product development from concept to commercialization, aligning with business growth objectives, regulatory requirements, and consumer insights
- Optimize the product portfolio through proactive lifecycle management, including product reformulations, SKU rationalization, and strategic discontinuations to maximize profitability and relevance
- Drive consumer and market research initiatives to identify trends, customer preferences, and whitespace opportunities, ensuring data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Operations, and Regional Business Units to bring new products to market efficiently and effectively
- Define and manage global pricing and positioning strategies to ensure competitive differentiation and financial viability across key markets
- Develop go-to-market strategies in partnership with Marketing and Regional Business Units, ensuring seamless product launches and adoption
- Own product messaging and sales enablement tools, working with the Brand team to create compelling narratives, training materials, and marketing assets
- Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment in all product development and marketing activities
- Establish and track key performance indicators, including sales performance, margin contribution, product adoption, and customer satisfaction to drive continuous improvement
- Monitor industry and competitive trends, identifying strategic opportunities for category expansion and differentiation
Background and Skills You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Product Development, or related field
- 10 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or innovation leadership within nutritionals, foods, or skincare
- Proven track record of leading product strategy, new product development, and commercialization at a global scale
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data, assess market dynamics, and make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to nutritional supplements, food, and skincare
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and inspire high-performance teams
