The Job Details : The Automation Implementation Specialist is an exciting role binding a cross-functional team to ensure quality delivery and implementation of Integrated Automation solutions. This position acts as a liaison among Automation Vendors, USCS Operations and Product / Engineering teams to ensure automation equipment and software meet the requirements of the solution. This includes overseeing and executing integration testing with vendors onsite to ensure successful implementation of these custom solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Participating in requirements and solution design meetings.
- Document standard processes within vendor software.
- Assist with onsite testing milestones and eWM functions as it relates to automation.
- Provide training to warehouse staff on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
- Share knowledge and best practices to empower users to maximize the benefits of automation technology.
- Execute integrated test scenarios on site ensuring project requirements are met.
- Coordinate, oversee and participate in testing phases as the project ramps up for system Go Lives.
- Works closely with Vendor and internal Operations, to ensure smooth implementations of new functions / features.
- Responsible for recording, investigating, prioritizing and tracking issues (both Vendor and Internal) discovered during acceptance testing phases (Host / Vendor Messaging, Functional Acceptance, User Acceptance).
- Will travel to implementation sites during critical start-up phases and when required to help trouble-shoot implementation challenges.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides.
- Keep documentation up to date with any changes or enhancements to automation systems.
