JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Under the direction of and reporting to the Materials Manager, the Inventory Control Clerk directs and performs all Cycle Count functions. All activities will be coordinated with the Inventory Control Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Initialize and print count tags using the computer system to perform cycle counts in all warehouses.
Perform actual count of inventory tags.
Identify and reconcile variances of actual count to book count to keep inventory accuracy at a level as established by the Financial and Materials departments.
Track variances by warehouse and assist in improving the accuracy of counts.
Ensure accurate count of all purchased and fabricated parts on hand by designated warehouse per the computer system to comply with accounting standards.
Complete time card, as required, to track hours worked.
Requirements
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING REQUIRED:
The employee must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes when working in proximity to production equipment and as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires education generally equivalent to 4 years of high school and 1 year related experience in receiving and stock keeping procedures and inventory control procedures.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and written materials relating to receiving, stock keeping, inventory control and safety procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees concerning inventory control issues.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to make calculations and maintain and interpret charts relating to statistical process control.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
The employee must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and must possess knowledge of and display the ability to apply statistical process control techniques. The employee must possess good oral communication skills to discuss inventory control issues with and train employees in inventory control techniques/concerns. The employee must be able to operate a computer keyboard and a calculator.
