What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance & Revenue Cycle Program Specialist - USFTGP position at USF Health?
This position reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager at USF Tampa General Physicians (USFTGP) in a role that has several distinct functions. The Finance and Revenue Cycle Program Specialist will drive strategic process improvement, manage complex projects, and solve difficult problems. The Finance and Revenue Cycle Program Specialist will demonstrate project management skills and possess relevant finance and revenue cycle knowledge to ensure project scope is aligned with business objectives, customer expectations are established and managed, issues and changes are controlled and escalated as needed. Performs administrative details including executive correspondence, research, and project management. The Finance and Revenue Cycle Program Specialist will serve in a dual capacity, overseeing all Payer Relations issues across the enterprise. This includes compilation of impacted claims, modeling revenue impacts and facilitating resolutions with the payer for issues escalated by leaders in Revenue Cycle Management meetings, correspondence and follow up, communication to all parties including Managed Care contracting and RCO Leadership. The Finance and Revenue Cycle Program Specialist is to provide analytic support to the RCO leadership of Revenue Cycle in areas of staffing, revenue opportunity, denial reporting, productivity, and other forms of financial analysis to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services provided.
Requirements :
- A / A degree in Healthcare or related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Lean Six Sigma (or within 6 months of hire) OR Project Management (within 6 months of hire)
- A minimum of 5 years of direct healthcare project management experience with a focus on revenue cycle, billing, finance, and IT is required. An equivalent combination of education and years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
