What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Handicap Administration Support position at USGA?
About this role:
The USGA has partnered with each Allied Golf Association (AGA) to establish a territory wide USGA/AGA GC (GC) program to make it easier to get a Handicap Index® , allowing the USGA to begin to market and grow the base of the AGA. The GC is a key program for the organization that supports the growth of golfers with a Handicap Index® by providing an easy onboarding channel. The USGA administers the GC, including all online registrations whereby the USGA processes the payment from the golfer and places them in their respective AGA club.
The Part-Time Handicap Administration Support role will provide assistance and perform administrative tasks to support the GC membership registration. The role will be responsible for monitoring registrations, providing administrative oversight and assistance, and general support when needed.
What you'll do:
Respond to member inquiries and service requests, and follow up as needed to ensure member satisfaction and increased member engagement logging each incident for KPIs and reporting
Assist in the preparation/execution of membership surveys and evaluations
Review refund requests from golfers and process accordingly
Maintain current database of memberships and profile data
Assist with producing weekly/monthly membership activity reports for department and AGA community
Where you'll be:
This is a part-time role, working 24 hours per week, for a duration of 12 months. This role will be based at our campus in Liberty Corner, NJ on a hybrid schedule initially, working in-office between Monday - Thursday.
What you bring:
Previous administrative support experience is strongly preferred
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Excellent oral/written communication skills, including responding to inquires in a tactful and timely manner
Must be able to work within a strong team and collaborative environment
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, results-oriented approach
Ability to navigate web-based programs
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zen Desk, HubSpot and other similar tools
Ability to follow systems and procedures with attention to detail
