Daily Provisions is your neighborhood café with everything you need throughout the day to dine in or take away. We open early in the morning with coffee, fresh baked goods, and breakfast sandwiches. Throughout the afternoon and evening, we offer made-to-order sandwiches, slow-roasted rotisserie chicken, seasonal sides, and a selection of beer and wine to toast the day. We're a New York City café from Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, with a culinary team led by Chef Claudia Fleming. We are open daily at our Union Square, Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Manhattan West, Cobble Hill, Rockefeller Center, West Village, and Jersey City locations.
Who you are:
The Catering Coordinator will work closely with the Catering Manager, Catering Director, and Daily Provisions businesses to ensure efficient and seamless planning and execution of Catering orders, driving the cycle of Enlightened Hospitality. Daily responsibilities are both administrative and operational, and as the Catering Coordinator, you’ll represent Daily Provisions with Enlightened Hospitality.
- Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growth.
- Deliver hospitality and service to all our team, guests and collaborators.
- Monitor and respond to Catering inquiries for all Daily Provisions businesses.
- Engage with potential and existing Catering clients through phone and email correspondence to gather order details, collect payment, update and finalize orders, etc.
- Prepare BEOs/proposals, contracts, and other client facing materials for Catering orders.
- Assign Catering orders (based on capacity, vicinity, etc.) and communicate orders (via email and calendar invite) to Daily Provisions businesses.
- Schedule Catering order deliveries with 3rd party delivery partner, monitor pick-ups and deliveries and troubleshoot with delivery partner and Daily Provisions businesses as needed to ensure timely orders and positive client satisfaction.
- Reconcile weekly Catering delivery reports with Daily Provisions business allocation and supplemental tip information.
- Execute additional administrative tasks in support of the Catering Manager and Catering Director such as Catering platform (Toast Catering) technical support, meal platform (i.e. ezCater, Foodie For All, etc.) order scheduling and coordination, Catering revenue tracking, etc.
- General operations support as needed. Examples, but not limited to, would be assisting Daily Provisions businesses to fulfill large Catering orders and reviewing Catering-related processes and procedures with Daily Provisions team members to ensure Catering best practices are being followed.
- Assist Catering Director with ongoing projects related to Catering business growth.
What we need from you:
- 1 years of hospitality, catering, or events experience
- Strong computer skills/Microsoft Office
- Ability to work onsite (in NYC and other markets as needed) and remotely
- Ability to work one weekend day per week
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
- Problem-solving skills with initiative and follow through.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds
